This is a Work in Progress...still have to work on shading and details, but I wanted to at least get the main blocks of color down.

New Art: "Kemeti Archives" (From upcoming e-book "Shadow of the Goddess")

The Kemeti are loosely based on the ancient Egyptian and Mayan civilizations, as evidenced by their architecture. They are mentioned in the short story "Wood" in "Five Elemental Dragons: Cycle One" as neighbors of the Shinwai. The Kemeti feature heavily in the sequel to the "Five Elemental Dragons" Cycles, "Shadow of the Goddess" (Summer 2012).

Art in Progress: Kemeti Temple

This building is a combination of Mesoamerican architecture (the bottom half is based on a Mayan step pyramid) and a Middle Eastern domed mosque (the turquoise half-sphere roof and the tall minaret towers in the background). The general forms are blocked out, but I still have to add the details, such as the steps leading up to the entrance, the various flora along the river, and the geometric decoration on the dome.

Admin Post: New art e-book now available from Smashwords.com

"Women in Color" celebrates women in paint, pen, and pastel. I collected some of my favorite paintings and drawings of strong heroines. Soldiers, mothers, dancers...girls can grow up to be anyone they want, no matter what color, creed or race they are. Each piece of artwork is accompanied by a short commentary outlining the creative processes behind it.

Here's the link: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/109808 and it's $1.25 to download.
