Writing Exercise: Character Sketch

Writing Prompt: Write a character sketch that describes a person much like you, but at a younger age and in a different country. Research the country and imagine yourself in it.

Claudia: early thirties, dark hair and eyes, wears glasses and contact lenses. Born in Sydney, Australia. A writer, she travels around Australia, the Orient,Canada and Europe. She publishes her own travel blog and even finds time to write her own fiction. Witty sense of humor, very proud of being Australian. Loves animals, especially koalas, kookaburras, kangaroos, and dingoes. Has gone diving off the Great Barrier Reef, climbed Uluru (Ayers Rock), fed crocs, and gone on walkabout with an Aboriginal Tribe. At home in the city (like Melbourne or Brisbane), but enjoys being around nature in the Outback too. Has a large extended family, with little nieces and nephews (who clamor for 'Auntie Claudie' to take them to Wiggles concerts). Adventurous in cuisine (has even tasted emu...'just like chicken'...) A natural mimic, she can also adopt an American accent if she wanted to. Loves world music, can play the digeridoo with varied results. Adapatable...can be elegantly dressed for concerts at the Sydney Opera House, but can also be rugged for the Outback.
