Scones:
2 c. sifted flour
4 tsp baking poweder
1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp shortening
3/4 c. milk
Beat all ingredients for 1 min. Throw on floured board and roll 1/2" thick. Cut with round cutter, bake on griddle until golden on both sides.
